【KOMOJU Terminal】How to set up KOMOJU Terminal (Live mode)


This page explains how to set up KOMOJU Terminal in Live mode.


【1】Receiving the terminal:

The terminal device will be delivered in a week or so after you order the terminal. When you receive the device, please make sure that the following three items are included in the shipping box.

① User Manual ② Charger (with USB-C connector) ③ Terminal


【2】Register the store location:

Please log in to the KOMOJU management screen and confirm that the toggle is switched to Live mode as shown below.

Go to Terminals > Store Management > Register new location and fill out the form to register your store. The address you enter here must match with "the principal store address using the terminal".


【3】Register the terminal:

After entering your store information, please register your terminal information. Please go to Terminal > Terminal Management > Register new termina and follow the instructions provided in each field.

<Please note>

*Terminal Name: Once a terminal name has been set, it cannot be changed unless the terminal registration is deleted.


【4】Before moving on to the settings on your device, please make sure you have the following 3 password information.


Device Settings Password:

When you enter device settings such as Wi-fi password etc, you will need this PIN. You can find the password by clicking on the “eyeball” mark on the KOMOJU administration page below.

■ Set Up PIN:

This information is requested when linking your Terminal device with your KOMOJU account, opening a terminal for the first time or when resetting/restarting a terminal device.

You can check this information by visiting Terminal > Terminal Management > Relevant Terminal Information.

Administrator PIN:

This is required when entering the “Manage transactions” screen in the terminal device. (You will also be asked to enter the PIN when performing a refund via the terminal).*Only available when logged into KOMOJU with admin privileges.


【5】Configure the settings on the terminal.

① Connect your device to Wifi or insert a SIM card with an active internet plan or you may use hotspot on your mobile phone.

② Enter the setup PIN and Serial Number to register your device.

③ Choose the display language your prefer and start receiving payments from your customers.


【6】Other Settings

From the “Terminal Management” section, you can also make settings regarding receipts and volume. Toggle buttons in the terminal settings section to set ON/OFF of the target function.

You can also restrict payment methods on this page. Use the toggle buttons in the Credit Card Type section to turn the applicable payment method on or off.

(e.g.) With Diners and Discover turned off

*The toggle is on the right side & blue = ON / the toggle is on the left side & gray = OFF

<Terminal Specifications>

*The serial number of the device will be required for inquiries in the event of operational problems, etc. Serial numbers can be found on the followings.

  1. On the back of the terminal
  2. The back of the box in which the terminal was placed

Credit cards can be read as follows.

<In the case of a payment error>

If an error occurs during payment, the transaction will be canceled. (The status on KOMOJU will be displayed as “canceled”)
